Интересно было посмотреть на Debian, а так как у Kali Linux ноги растут от Debian, решил сразу обе хотелки удовлетворить. Качнул образ, через торрент. Но торрент, он и есть торрент, можно всяко подцепить, решил проверить по checksum. Но ось на которой я качал win10, и она порадовала, встроенным калькулятором, правда в другую более обширную тулзу - Certutil.

Меня интересовала только опция - hashfile, и вот так я ей воспользовался:
certutil -hashfile kali-linux-2019.3-amd64.iso sha256
И затем нужно сравнить суммы, выполнил
cat kali-linux-2019.3-amd64.iso.txt.sha256sum
и не тут-то было, а нет такой команды в винде!!!
но есть в windows другая команда - type, как альтернатива unix cat.
выполнил:
type kali-linux-2019.3-amd64.iso.txt.sha256sum
визуально сравил получившиеся результаты - все ОК.
